The DJI P4 Multispectral drone is ideal for agriculture applications, as the 5 band multispectral camera is capable of capturing a range of spectral bands that can be used to assess NDVI, NDRE, MSAVI and many other formulas for vegetation analysis. It features RTK and can be used with the D-RTK2 ground station for centimetre level accuracy – making it perfect for precision agriculture.
The P4 Multispectral consolidates the information capture process that offers insight into the management of crop health and vegetation. With the same powerful performance standards that DJI is known for, including 27 minutes of maximum flight time and up to 7 km transmission range with the OcuSync system, DJI has developed this platform as the ultimate tool for farmers and agronomists.
With a built-in balanced imaging system that gathers extensive data sets right out of the box, agricultural imagery processing is now easier and more effective than ever before. Access data obtained by 1 RGB camera and a 5-band multispectral camera array spanning Blue, Green, Red, Red Edge, and Near Infrared bands, all on a 3-axis stabilised gimbal at 2 MP with global shutter.
Integrating a spectral sunlight sensor of top of the drone enables it to capture solar irradiance, this maximises accuracy and consistency of data collection throughout the day. Combining this with post-processed data helps to obtain the most accurate NDVI results.
Aerial imagery alone is not enough for agriculture professionals who want more in-depth data. Switch between a preliminary Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) analysis and the live RGB feed to instantly see where attention is needed, so targeted treatment decisions can be made efficiently.
Using DJI’s TimeSync system you are able to capture images with real-time, accurate positioning data, providing centimetre-level accurate measurements. The TimeSync system frequently aligns the flight controller, RBG and NB cameras, and RTK module, adjusting the positioning data to the centre of the CMOS and guaranteeing each photo uses the most accurate metadata. Every camera is calibrated through a rigorous process where radial and tangential lens distortions are measured. Using their metadata, post-processing software is able to uniquely adjust distortion parameters for every user.
Increase the RTK’s precise positioning without internet connections by connecting the P4 Multispectral to the D-RTK 2 High Precision GNSS Mobile Station and NTRIP or store the satellite observation data to be used in post-processing.
Plan flights, accomplish automated missions, and direct flight data using GS PRO – DJI’s leading flight planning iOS app.
Gather multispectral images efficiently across a large area using the P4 Multispectral and gain an overview of problem areas.
Easily access and process aerial data by applying plant-specific metrics and parameters to acquire the desired results on plant health.
Apply targeted treatments on areas that need attention based on accurate drone data.
