The DJI Zenmuse X5Sﾠ is visual camera with a micro 4/3s sensor and comes with a 15mm lens. It is compatible with the Matrice 200 series (V1 & V2) and the Inspire 2 drone. It's features interchangeable lenses, 20.8MP stills, M 4/3s sensor, 5.2K 30FPS4K 60FPS video, 12.8 STOPS 12-BIT RAW and 20fps continuous burst mode.
Equipped with an upgraded Micro 4/3 sensor, the Zenmuse X5S has an improved signal to noise ratio and colour sensitivity, as well as a dynamic range of 12.8 stops.It supports up to eight standard M4/3 lenses (including zoom lenses) with focal lengths ranging from 9mm to 45mm to allow for more creative flexibility.New CineCore technology had made the Zenmuse X5S capable of shooting at 5.2K/30 fps as well as 4K/ 60 fps. Continuous burst shooting is also supported.
The Inspire 2 utilises a modern structure that separates the CineCore 2.0 system from the camera and places it inside the aircraft. This enables the sensor and optical system to be detached and easily connected using a quick-release connector. Designing it this way protects the sensor from magnetic interference from the processor, also allowing for a range of lightweight camera units to be connected as required for different scenarios.
Upgrading the Micro 4/3 sensor has massively improved image quality and with a pixel size of 3.4 ?m, this 20.8 megapixel sensor captures sharper images with much more detail. With a dynamic range of 12.8 stops and an improved signal to noise ratio you can capture clear, low noise images in a variety of lighting environments.
To give you more creative control over your shots, the Zenmuse X5S now supports up to eight professional lenses with focal lengths ranging from 9mm-45mm.
To improve efficiency for your workflows, the DJI CINESSD card and an optimised FAT32/exFAT file system allows footage to be transferred directly through the card reader to a computer quickly without any additional software. The DIT standard is also supported and CinemaDNG or Apple ProRes workflows can be used for post-processing.
Stills can be captured at 14fps using only the Micro SD card in Burst Mode (JPEG+DNG). Using the DJI CINESSD lets you take 20fps continuously in Burst Mode, images being a maximum resolution of 20.8 megapixels. Stills are also able to be captured during video recording without interruption.
To stabilise the Zenmuse X5S, there is an enhanced 3-axis gimbal with precise motor rotation that has a control accuracy of ﾱ0.01ﾰ. To ensure more stable data transmission and greater durability, the Zenmuse X5S uses a mechanically limited design with concealed wires rather than relying on the usual electrical slip ring.To eliminate vibration three damping balls and a lightweight damping board are used, creating seamlessly smooth video. 360 degrees rotation remains possible through gimbal rotation and smooth aircraft yaw. Stable, smooth footage can be captured across a variety of lenses.
Using the DJI GO 4 app you are able to control your camera settings from afar, including focus, aperture and format. DJI GO 4 also offers focus control across the entire transmission range, using no additional cables or motors and new Lightbridge technology sends all signals as far as 4.3 miles away.
