The inspection mission type has been designed with roof missions in mind. Hammer calculates the points inside a shape already specified by the user and flies the drone to each point, stopping to focus the camera and make sure accuracy is still being sustained, whilst maintaining a consistent altitude and heading during the rest of the mission.
Whether you are inspecting a pipeline, railroad or bridge, this mission perfectly supports the linear geometry of those structures. This inspection mission type is perfect to ensure the precise surveying of facades, cliffs and various other vertical structures with a rigid shape. For this mission, Hammer calculates points inside a vertical frame that has been placed a horizontal distance from the structure. From an aerial perspective, this line would be seen as parallel to the structure. From here, Hammer flies the drone from top to bottom in altitude along this line, continuously capturing images facing forward.
If you’re inspecting a solar farm, Hammer allows you to align your flight lines with the solar rows with ease and accuracy. Hammer will generate a flight plan based upon your specified area boundary and points, then it will calculate a flight path for you which ensures it will precisely follow the marked solar rows. Other options available allow you to configure the drone orientation and the angle of the row, amongst other settings.
The Mapping mission type is useful for site surveys & map making, it allows you to create current maps of an area such as a farm or construction site. Hammer generates a flight path inside the shape already defined by the user, and sends the drone to flight directly along the path taking continuous images whilst maintaining the right image overlap between photos.

The Tower Mapping mission type is useful for automating the precise capture of data for 3D Models that comprise of a tower-like structure. You are able to circle around a tower such as pylons, cell towers, water towers etc and Hammer will calculate a flight path based on the data – altitudes & distances – provided as input by the user. The technology keeps the correct picture overlap into account so that the results are easily available for inspection or 3D Modelling.
This mission has been specifically designed for long range Magnetic Surveys when using a suspended magnetometer. Hammer enables the drone to collect survey data from desired flight lines and tie lines while ensuring a smooth flight to prevent pendulum swing.
This mission type captures images of the bridge in a double-grid cross-hatch pattern, which you are able to correct through photogrammetry software to generate a 3D model.
As the majority of bridges are linear, the Linear Inspection mission type is the perfect choice to enable you to precisely follow the geometry of the bridge.
By using the Facade inspection mission type, you can easily mark the structure edges to allow for the inspection of the bridge’s facades/sides.
